Imaginate has been producing creative solutions for clients since we were first established in 2012.
Our journey and evolution through the years demonstrate our pure passion in creating creative content for our clients through a sample set of values.
We’re a small team of content creators that allow us to cut through the red tape traditionally associated with large bureaucratic agencies. This allows us to provide a more personalised service, deliver at speed, and output exceptional quality at a lower cost.
What’s unique about our founder Raj? All the content displayed on this site has been created by himself, from filming, editing, audio and photo, including this very website. We don’t outsource to others which reduces the costs to our clients. For larger projects and campaigns, we utilise our small in-house team to support the filming and logistics.

Thank you for visiting our agency and taking the time to read about us. I wanted to provide a quick summary of my journey and what we’ve been able to build. Hopefully you’ll see through my journey that our passion is at the heart of everything we do.

2009
Having an interest in film and photography for numerous years whilst managing a large retail store, I happened by chance to see a video trailer being played at a wedding ceremony. The emotional reaction this created inspired me to re-create a film highlighting my best friends relationship with his future wife at their wedding.
The film created an unexpected reaction from the attendees and I was subsequently asked to create videos for others. This started the journey of establishing a wedding & events company. In 2014 I met Manish from KDM Studio who was filming the same wedding contracted from the groom’s side. We instantly became friends and we’ve been working together ever since capturing special memories for our clients in photo and film.

2011
Whilst managing a Homebase store I became interested in the corporate videos produced by the company. I saw contracts being handed out to agencies to produce sub standard material at vast costs, so I put myself forward to design content for our head office at no cost , whilst carrying out my store management role. This led to me being seconded to project manage and create large scale events for the business using engaging media content. I was awarded my first advertising campaign as apart of Imaginate producing a commercial to recruit new managers for their recruitment team (Refer to our Advertising & Marketing Section to see our campaign).

2014
As Argos was owned by the same organisation as Homebase (Home Retail Group), an opportunity arose to work within the Learning & Development team in the Head Office, creating learning material.
With over 10 years managing in challenging retail environments I became frustrated with how we were delivering learning to our colleagues with the constraint they had managing their day jobs with their training routines. The attention span of the learner was getting shorter, time was precious and the material not only needed to get to the point but it also needed to be highly engaging and keep the learner interested throughout.
I developed a vision of introducing video, animations and professional photography into the e-learning world and quickly became instrumental in shaping the culture of 3 businesses into moving towards a more interactive experience. Using my advertising experience allowed us to use powerful media to communicate with the learner and move away from endless uninspiring blocks of text which were the industry standard. I later became an e-learning consultant producing content for businesses around the UK as part of Imaginate, advising them on how to approach learning to their colleagues.

2017
Having already established Imaginate and consulting businesses on developing their material, the merger between Argos & Sainsbury’s opened another opportunity. They created a new position that allowed me to design all the Learning and Development media for Sainsbury’s within their Technical and Digital Team. The demand for material and supporting our e-learning teams was increasing so I helped to support the creation of a larger team to curve the demand. During this period a lot of their large projects were outsourced to my business and my team. We created the official videos for Argos and Sainsbury’s that were shown to over 500k colleagues.

2019
With the services we were providing to businesses and independents large and small increasing, the demand required more of my time supporting my team and managing the business. We now continue expanding our range of services including web-design and training courses in 2020.
